What kinds of activities are available for patients?

We have a Activities Department dedicated to keeping patients involved with fun, life affirming activities including art, movies, gardening, pet friends and intergenerational experiences. We encourage visits from family and friends because we feel that social interaction is essential to recovery and the quality of life. In addition, our five lushly landscaped acres offer patients not just a pleasant place to receive visitors, but a place where they can enjoy peaceful meditation.

Our hope is to create a home-like atmosphere. From the moment you enter Harmony Healthcare you sense the warm welcoming nature of our facility. Common areas are attractively decorated and well lit. Rooms can be decorated with personal items and treasures from home and all have televisions and private bathrooms. Seating in the dining room encourages companionship and conversation. There is private dining room that families can reserve for special occasions.

Yes, under the direction of our head chef and dietician, we will be happy to accommodate any special dietary needs whenever possible. And all meals are restaurant style, so residents always have a choice at mealtime.

We certainly understand what a difficult time this can be the loved ones of our patients. Our staff is always available to answer any questions you may have and are also happy to help arrange counseling or therapy, should you feel they’re necessary.
